Description
This is a vintage lot of pamphlets about various fibers and fabrics.The oldest is, " One Thousand Facts about the Raw Silk Industry of Japan", copyright 1926. Published by the Raw Silk Association of Japan. It is 18 pages of information about the manufacturing of silk.
The next oldest is from 1939. "Thumbnail Sketches of Interesting Fibers" It is 20 pages on the origin & manufacturing of angora, alpaca, camel hair, cashmere, China lamb's wool & vicuna.
From 1952 we have, "do you know what you're wearing?" by George E. Linton. It is 21 pages about natural & synthetic fabrics & fibers.
The last folder is " Good Housekeeping's Guide to the selection of stretch fabrics and expandable fashions". Dated 1965. It is 10 pages of information on stretch fabrics.
All are in great, vintage condition. Show light soil from storage & age. Interesting.
