    Description

Mailed to a Council Bluffs, Iowa, address for 5 cents from the Dennison Manufacturing Company, 62 East Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois, this set of 5 instruction booklets includes the following:
HOW TO MAKE PAPER COSTURMES--32 pages indexed
HOW TO MAKE CREPE PAPER FLOWERS--32 pages indexed and complete with a fold-out     page of flower patterns even wisteria
    TABLES AND FAVORS--32 pages
    WEAVING WITH PAPER ROPE--32 pages
SEALING WAX ART--24 pages--templates for beads foundations, color center page
I don’t seem to find a copyright date on these booklets but it is safe to say they are verging on 100 years old.  The pages are full of illustrations of elegantly dressed 1920’s ladies and flappers.
The booklets are not tattered or torn.  There is a smudge on the back cover of the costumes booklet.  The booklets smell old but do not smell of must or mildew.  There is no foxing.  They fit snugly into an oak tag mailer which is torn at the top back side and generally more smudged and worn than the booklets themselves.
Our items are found at estate sales, yard sales, thrift stores, and junk jaunts that do not allow me to know the origin or history of the piece.  Some we wash and some we don't.  E-mail questions are welcomed.  Please respect the notation for no international bids.
