Vintage Lithophane Geisha Girl Tea Set Tea Pot Saucers Cups Dessert Plates
Good condition. Shows signs of use and wear. No cracks, nothing broken. the gold paint looks good with a little wear to the rim of the cups. Lithophane Geisha Girl appears in the bottom of each tea cup when held up to the light. There are two small dark marks on the inside of the creamer, these marks appear to be in and a part of the glazing and do not come off. this set could use a gentle yet thorough cleaning. This is a beautiful tea set of 19 pieces. The sugar bowl and teapot have nice lids.
Each item was hand painted with a beautiful scene. The subject matter consists of a water wheel scene, a lake, birds, boats, and a mountain (Mt. Fuji) in the background. Gold paint was also used to
embellish
them.
This lot includes the following:
One teapot with lid  5 1/4" High x 9 1/4" spout to handle x 4 1/4" side to side
One sugar bowl with lid
One creamer
Five Geisha Lithophane Tea Cups
Five Saucers  5 1/2" across
Six Dessert Plates 7" across
