Description:
A nice very fine banknote issued by the Chartered Bank of Hong Kong. This is the no date (1962-70) Ten Dollars banknote. The note is black and red-brown on red and green underprint on the front and is red brown in color on the back. The front has the denomination in the center and Arms left of center. The front also has two signatures and the serial number. The back depicts the image of the Chartered Bank building in the center. This particular note has the serial number 1800594 shown twice in blue and is series U/G. The note has a watermark depicting a helmeted warrior's head to the right of center of the front. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

The note shows circulation with many folds, creases and wrinkling. Paper is soiled but has no major objectionable stains. It does have darkening along some of the vertical folds on the back as well as in the center of the top and bottom edges at the end of the central fold. The note was probably lightly flattened and has some residual stiffness. Its corners are squared and intact with some rounding, bumps and creases. The note has graffiti on the front but has no pinholes, no tears and no splits. Its edges are intact and show minimum roughness. Please see photos for additional condition information.
