  • Condition: Unglazed areas show dark baked on deposits. A few tiny bubbles in glaze produced a couple pinhead sized spots of unglazed areas, all documented in pictures.

    Description

    This is a Monmouth Western Stoneware tall lid casserole in a gorgeous green color which may vary from your screen. I photographed in natural daylight to capture varying appearance ( it is not iridescent).
    Shiny glaze. What I adore about it is that the knob of the lid is recessed so the lid doubles as a serving dish, it can lay flat on a table!
    Bottom marked USA, but sometimes seen as "UAS" or even "JAS".

    CONDITION: 2 pinhead sized bubbles in glaze on side, see photo of the side up close where the are, they are not chips but common events in glaze that happen during firing. Very good used condition: unglazed areas show dark from baking use. No cracks, no hairline cracks, no chips. Will be packed carefully with bubble for safest delivery.
